right of path

Back in those days, RHB Bank has part of SIME Bank in it which earlier had bought over UMBC Bank... or something like that. Back in those days, i used to drive mom to work and pick her up every evening from UMBC or Sime Bank or RHB bank (as they call it now).

Since there was only one car, no maid, one baby sister and two other siblings still in school, i was honored to have held the key to the only most convenient mode of transportation. having a car around made my life much easier and daily routines accomplished faster. everyone has to work, eat, go to school, extra curricular activities, tuition or just a trip for fun-time at the playground... but alas.. after awhile, i hated the idea of driving. heh.

sometimes my mom would feel like driving. so i let her. i watched her cut all queues from rush hour traffic using the emergency lane. i was scared. before that, i used to see my father does it. i was scared then too. when i did it, i got scared and now i get to witness my husband doing it... and i am still scared.

i do admit using the emergency lane to cut queues during rush hour traffic does save a lot of time. but as we all know, it may cause unnecessary accidents and not to mention the cursing you're gonna get from other drivers that actually bide by the rules and kept to the designated lanes.

thank God after some time, mom got a car so then I could cross the 'rush hour madness' off my list.. hurrah!

In cases of emergencies where only split seconds are all the luxury that you're gonna get to make an extremely quick responsive decision -it would be a heck a lot easier to turn into that lane if there weren't so many people on it! so let us try with all our might to stay away from driving on the emergency lane if you're not having an emergency because... every now and then, i have to use that lane too. don't you?

Muahs.
